CRS is in action in southeastern Wisconsin!

Our Southeastern Wisconsin Initiative for Catholic Relief Services is always busy bringing the good news and good work of CRS to a wider audience. Here are some of our recent activities to bring drinking water and charity relief worldwide.

In the news.

  • The Catholic Herald features an article by Bishop Donald J. Hying which describes CRS support efforts in southeastern Wisconsin and the impact CRS has around the world.
  • Former Olympic speed skater Bonnie Blair appears on “The Morning Blend” on TMJ4 to talk about this year’s Olympics and the goal to raise funds in support of the Wellspring of Hope water project being overseen by CRS.
  • Chuck Freimund from Sports Radio 1450  interviews Bonnie Blair post-Olympics and learns about her drive to help CRS provide safe water and sanitation in Ethiopia.

    • Miller Park video featuring Bonnie Blair.
      Bonnie Blair is taking the CRS message out to the ballgame! Watch for her pregame video on the jumbotron at Miller Park this summer! Bonnie’s “pitch” talks about the importance of fresh drinking water. The PSA will play before 40 home games this season. Be sure to check out her fancy footwear!


  • Airport awareness.
    Look for backlit panels now showcasing ads for CRS in all three concourses at Mitchell International Airport.


  • Pettit Center banner.
    If you’re running on the track or attending an event at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, look for the CRS banner on the oval featuring speed skater Bonnie Blair. It will be on display now through May 2015.
